There should be enough news and information on the following links to satisfy the info-hungry investor.
For an absolutely excellent site from the Canadian Federal Government (you'll probably spend a little while looking around) visit Canadian Economy. Some historical data on the site covers almost 100 years. There is a great-looking interface and all the information is a click or three away (A+ site in my books).
For a good example of an income trust that has an excellent history of distributions, see an overview of one offering from Sentry Select Capital Corp.
Tech Web- for the latest and greatest news to excite the investor, this site is always worth a visit.
Informed Investors- through the on-line forums, the site provides an excellent way to communicate with company executives from companies in which you would like to invest.
Canada Newswire- this site provides some useful FREE tools for investors and recent investment news. I haven't used the whole site so I can't comment on what else is provided.
World Gold Council- great site covering everything gold from nanotechnology to jewelry. The site provides up-to-the-minute spot gold prices and a variety of statistics, as well as information on how to invest in gold.
Mineweb- for mining news and much more
Barrons Reports - if you need a FREE electronic or printed Annual Report, this is the first site to visit. The site provides excellent service and is recommended.
